Nick DiCosola started his multi-faceted career in Chicago construction in 1997 after graduating from Austin Peay State University with a Master of Science degree. But before college, Nick literally grew up on construction sites helping his father, who taught Nick the value of doing a job right the first time. From about the age of 8, Nick would help with odd jobs around construction sites where his father worked.
As Nick got older, his father taught him the importance of building something that would last for generations. Most of Nick's Chicago construction education was hands-on. A natural problem solver, Nick is personally involved from start to finish with every project his company takes on.
Over the years, he has assembled around him an energetic and trusted team of subcontractors. In 2003, Nick founded Distinguished Dwellings, which is now the residential subsidiary of The DiCosola Group. The DiCosola Group's small, boutique-sized firm allows for more competitive pricing and a unique personal experience for every client.
Nick is unique among the leaders of construction companies in Chicago in that he not only has extensive on-site experience, but he also has a background in science and health care. Having worked as a therapist at HealthSouth and as head athletic trainer at Peru State College, Nick has a unique ability to divide a project into individual components, diagnose and analyze problems, find efficient solutions, and provide personal customer service.
